Farmington Youth Football Association-Code of Conduct
Farmington Youth Football Association program's philosophy is to provide a positive environment in which each individual has equal opportunity to further develop the fundamentals and skills of the game. The program provides youth with the opportunity to experience the game of tackle football, learn skills, build teamwork and develop good sportsmanship.
PLAYERS CODE OF CONDUCT
- I will play by rules of the game and follow the policies of the club.
- I will respect the officials and their authority during and after the game.
- I will never question, discuss, or confront coaches at the game field.
- I understand that I am on a team and will be a team player.
- I will not be critical of teammates and treat everyone with respect regardless of race, color, religion, gender, or ability.
- I will ensure my uniform and my other gear is complete, safe, and in good condition.
- I will not use foul language towards teammates, coaches, officials, or others I may compete against.
- I will participate in every game and every practice except for illness, injury or a preapproved excused absence from my team head coach.
- I WILL HAVE FUN!
PARENT(S)/GUARDIAN(S) CODE OF CONDUCT
- I will not force my child to participate in Farmington Football.
- I will remember that children participate to have fun and that the game is for the kids, not the adults.
- I will learn the rules of the game and follow the policies of the association.
- I will be a positive role model for my child and encourage sportsmanship by showing respect and courtesy, and by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, officials, and spectators at every game, practice or other sporting events.
- I will recognize and respect all the volunteers who are giving up their valuable time.
- I will never publicly criticize referees or coaches.
- I will raise personal concerns with program supervisors in private.
- Drugs, alcohol and tobacco are not allowed on ISD 192 buildings and grounds at any time.
We (parent(s)/guardian(s)/player) agree that if we fail to abide by the aforementioned code of conduct, we may be subject to disciplinary action. That this action could include, but is not limited to, the following; Verbal Warning, Written Warning, Parent, Coach or Player Game Suspension, and or Season Suspension and up to Disbarment. That these actions may not be taken in an escalated manner, and that the FYFA Board of Directors reserve the right to select and apply any consequence as it deems necessary to protect the organization.
